As of Friday, January 6, our community has donated just under $27 thousand to “Wheels For Our Warriors” fundraising campaign.
Another sizable donation was made Friday, placing us a little over $8,000.00 away from our goal of $35 thousand, when the campaign received a very generous contribution from Cascade Auto Group of $2,500.00. Cascade Auto Group has been an extremely important part of Wheels For Our Warriors since we first launched the fundraiser on November 29th of last year, when they committed to donating $100 for every new Subaru and Honda they sold in December. They also added Wheels For Our Warriors to all of their advertising to help promote the fundraiser to our community.
Last week BI-MART purchased 200 posters to help spread the word about Wheels For Our Warriors. The posters will be placed in the windows of supportive businesses throughout our community, and remain until we achieve the $35 thousand goal needed to purchase the new van for our veterans.
The previous week we received a $10 thousand donation from Carolyn and Michael Sheets, and Merrill Clinic, a Healthcare facility founded by Mr. Sheets about 15 years ago. Mr. Sheets challenged other businesses in our community to join him in contributing to the “Wheels For Our Warriors” campaign to replace the van totaled in the tragic accident.

This is wonderful to see. I am so pleased to see so many supporting this great effort. I will purchase my next vehicle from Cascade because of their work in supporting this. You are so right when you point out the support from Bob Wynne and his radio stations. I hear about this every time I am in my car because of him.
